· INTRODUCTION
- Laddu is a ball shaped sweet recipe popular in India prepared using flour like besan, whole wheat (atta) or sooji (semolina) and sugar with some additional flavors. This is specially prepared during festivals like Navratri, Diwali, Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Ganesh Chaturthi, Janmashtami and special occasions. Each region has its own variation to this laddoo recipe. In coastal Karnataka, rava laddu is prepared without adding any milk.
· INGERDIENTS
500 gm sooji(Rava)
400 gm sugar
250 gm coconut powder
2 tbsp desi ghee
Yellow food colour(optional)
· RECIPE
Add ghee to a pan let it melt then add sooji cook well on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir continuously. Take another pan to make syrup add sugar and 1 glass of water just melt sugar don’t make a thick syrup. Now take 2 tbsp water in a bowl and add food colour to avoid lumps. Once sugar syrup gets boil then add food colour syrup. Now add this sugar syrup to sooji cooked. Add slowly and mix well. Now add coconut powder. And again mix well. Now start making lemon sized ladoo and coat with coconut powder…Ready to serve instant coconut sooji ladoo…
