· INTRODUCTION
Addiya paak is a traditional Gujarati sweet dish made from coarsely grounded urad flour, jaggery (or sugar), ghee, edible gum, dry fruits, and flavored masala. It is made during winters as it is known to give warmth to the body and is also very nutritious. In this recipe, I use jaggery instead of sugar to make addiya paak healthier. With this easy to make recipe, you can make delicious addiya paak at home. Do try it this season!
· INGREDIENTS
500 gm sugar
500 gm desi ghee
1 cup milk
500 gm uad flour (rough)
20 almonds
1 tbsp soaf powder
20 cahsew
100 gm edible glue (gum)
Half cup dried cononut (grated)
· RECIPE
Take udad flour add 4 tbsp milk and 4 tbsp ghee and then mix well now let the mixture rest for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes filter the mixture. Now take a pan add ghee after 2 to 3 minutes add flour mixture and stir continuously fry till brown in colour add 1 tbsp milk into it with 5 minutes interval stir continuously again add milk after 5 minutes stir do this process continuously till brown in colour. After 15 minutes add gum (glue) to it. After 20 minutes or once it turns to brown colour off the flame. Now take another pan to make syrup add 500 gm sugar and one glass water. Make syrup of one thread or you can say just melt the sugar. Now add sugar syrup to addiya flour and mix well now add coconut powder and chopped dry fruits too mix well and add soaf powder mix.
